Rejuvenating Massages
We specialise in providing rejuvenation massages that cater to both the physical and mental well-being of our clients. Our trained massage therapists are skilled in various techniques to target muscle tension, improve circulation, and promote relaxation.
Rebates, Private Health Insurance, Bulk billing and NDIS participants
Medicare rebate
Please check with your GP to see if you are eligible for a Chronic Disease Management plan. Having a plan will entitle you to up to 5 Medicare rebated sessions per year.
Please note: the current Medicare rebate is $60.35 per appointment. From the 1st July 2025, the Medicare rebate will be increasing to $61.80 per appointment. However, there will still be a gap payment charged for all appointments.
Private Health Insurance
If you have Private Health Insurance which contains extras cover, you may be able to claim some of the cost of your appointment.
The majority of Private Health Insurance claims will be processed for you on the day of your appointment
Bulk Billing
This is not a Bulk Billing clinic, with the exception of patients who are Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) card holders, who will be Bulk Billed for all appointments
NDIS participants
Gemma provides Dietetic care to both plan managed and self managed NDIS participants. As of 1st July 2025, the cost of an appointment for an NDIS participant will be $271.59 which is in accordance with the NDIS fee schedule for allied health professionals.
About us
When deciding what career path to take at the end of my schooling journey, I knew that I wanted a career that would combine my passion for Medicine with my love of food and cooking. Dietetics was the perfect combination!
I completed a Masters of Dietetics and Bachelor of Food Science and Nutrition at Deakin University. I have also completed the Monash University Low FODMAP diet course for Dietitian's in addition to training in the Crohn's Disease Exclusion Diet (CDED) and the benefits of Gut Directed Hypnotherapy using the NERVA smartphone app.
Through my work in my private practice, working alongside Associate Professor John Lubel, I am able to assist clients with a range of gastrointestinal conditions such as IBS, FODMAPs, IBD, Coeliac Disease and reflux. I can also help with weight management, Type 2 Diabetes, Osteoporosis, Hypertension and high cholesterol.
In addition to my private practice, I run the disorders of gut-brain interaction the musculoskeletal outpatient clinics at The Northern Hospital.
My diverse workload also enables me to work as a Research Dietitian at The University of Melbourne and Deakin University on a range of studies which focus on the impact that diet and weight management have on bone health and Osteoarthritis.
I love being able to assist clients to improve their relationship with food and improve their health so they can be the best versions of themselves.
